This strategic consolidation creates a single, comprehensive music source designed to serve DJs of every style, from underground electronic artists to open-format event professionals.

Beginning in March 2026, Beatsource will be sunsetted as a standalone brand, and its extensive catalog of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and Latin music will be integrated into Beatport's world-renowned electronic music library. According to Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels, the ambition is to "raise the bar for premium DJ services by delivering a unified experience combining trusted curation with unmatched musical depth."

The Migration: What DJs Need to Know

The transition is designed to be as smooth as possible for existing Beatsource subscribers. A phased migration process will guide users over to the Beatport ecosystem throughout March 2026. Here’s a breakdown of how your account and content will be handled.

Your Account and Content are Secure

To ensure a seamless switch, the migration process will automatically transfer your essential data. You can expect the following to be waiting for you in your new Beatport home:

• Login Credentials: Your existing Beatsource username and password will work on Beatport.
• Active Subscriptions: Your current streaming plan will be automatically carried over.
• Playlists: All your curated playlists will be transferred directly.
• Purchase History: Your past track purchases from the Beatsource store will be migrated and will appear as new playlists within your Beatport account.

Subscription Plan and Pricing Adjustments

Existing Beatsource subscription plans will be mapped to their closest equivalent tiers within the Beatport structure. For users on the standard Beatsource plan, Beatport will honor the current subscription price for a three-month period following the migration. After these three months, the plan will adjust to the standard Beatport pricing.
