A New Beat for India’s Nightlife: SpinItUp Secures Pre-Seed Funding

Mumbai-based music-tech startup SpinItUp announced on December 8, 2025, that it has successfully raised INR 50 Lakh in a pre-seed funding round. The investment, led by Zee TV Ideabaaz Titans and other angel investors, values the company at INR 10 Crore and is set to amplify its innovative platform that is changing how audiences interact with live music.

SpinItUp introduces a structured and digital way for club-goers to request songs from DJs during live sets. By replacing informal cash tips with a seamless digital payment system, the platform creates a transparent and significant new revenue channel for artists, moving beyond traditional performance fees.

How SpinItUp Works

The platform operates on a simple, zero-investment model for venues. Patrons can scan a QR code placed within the club, which directs them to a web app. From there, they can browse the DJ's playlist or suggest a new track and attach a payment to their request. The DJ receives these paid requests in a prioritized queue on a dedicated screen, allowing them to curate their set while engaging directly with the audience's preferences.

This system formalizes an existing, unorganized behavior and transforms it into a powerful tool for engagement and monetization.

Fueling Pan-India Expansion

The freshly secured capital will be strategically deployed to accelerate SpinItUp's growth across the country. The company has outlined a clear roadmap for the next 12 months, with key objectives including:

  • Artist Onboarding: Aggressively expand its network to include 5,000 DJs and performing artists by the end of 2026.
  • Technological Enhancement: Invest in building out advanced analytics for artists and venues. This includes providing DJs with data on their earnings, most requested tracks, and audience music tastes, while a robust commission tracking system ensures transparent payouts.
  • Venue Partnerships: Forge new partnerships with clubs, bars, and event organizers nationwide to increase the platform's footprint.

For venue owners, SpinItUp is positioned as a value-add service that boosts customer satisfaction and encourages longer stays without any upfront cost. It provides a unique interactive experience that differentiates them in a competitive market.

The Vision for a Connected Music Ecosystem

Founded by event management veterans Rohan Mehra and Anjali Sharma, SpinItUp aims to build a more sustainable and interactive live music ecosystem in India. The investment from Zee TV Ideabaaz Titans, a fund focused on early-stage consumer technology, validates the platform's potential to disrupt the nightlife industry.

As SpinItUp scales its operations, it promises to empower thousands of artists with greater financial control while offering audiences a novel way to co-create their nightlife experiences.
